I mostly just reply to stuff with piss-takes —frequently a fool. He/Him, all opinions expressed are quite possibly poorly thought out.

There was a fabled time when the internet was so new that it screamed at you, begging you not to force it into life each time you summoned it.
in the days of yore youths used to engage in a mysterious rite known as planking
Back in my day we used to chug gallons of milk
Both are pretty fine. The first one had a dieback a while ago in Ecuador but is recovering?

The latter is hella popular in bonsai and is fine except for the “if you want to start bonsais you’re gonna lose some of ‘em” factor (and since Grace is gonna let her trees roam free that’s not an issue etc)
*exactly*

Divide by zero, something something, Highlander any% marathon ftw
Holy shit this is so good. Ty again!
I love how I go to say “hey, post it if you find it” on this website and then BAM, multiple people are doing the lord’s work already.
Highlander 2 ➡️ Highlander 3 is cheating because it’s both a continuity break and also a 2 ➡️ 3, right? Because that might be the perfect “you are fine the skip the propr” alexandrite metric ideal for not watching a prior movie.
(Sorry, Starshine, I just nerdsniped myself by trying to imagine the most massive gulf possible between “it matters” and “it doesn’t matter or maybe is better if you don’t watch the first one and my brain started typing)
It’s obviously somewhere between “James Bond films in general” and “The Matrix Reloaded” in terms of needing to watch the first one first, *clearly* (if someone can find a bigger gap between “it matters” and “it doesn’t matter” let me know, this could be fun)
I want to be able to give you a “it’s like T2, Aliens, Top Gun 2, or Empire Strikes back” but I am afraid of horror films and also I’m now self-pedanting and having a hard time rating which one needs it’s predecessor more.
What’s kind of funny is Mum doing the injury (no more quarter mil a year allowance) and then his big brother swooping in to add the insult.
So no clue if royals get sweetheart deals for that shit or not, I just assume they do, etc
*leasing

But I’ve seen a few of “leasing for a dollar” agreements for folks who weren’t part of a generational wealth schemes of that scope. I know the state holds those estates and pays the royals way less than what the income is (the country collect a bil and then gives the royals 80m? Maybe?)
I’d forgive 75% of Charles’ not wanting to give up fox hunts until Mum made him (I think legally they’d have to get Chuck’s permission or some shit? Sovereigns!) if that happened.

Imagine how it would cement Keir “former crown prosecutor” Starmer’s legacy as a “law and order” Prime Minister!
Obvs the BBC isn’t gonna do “he sold x but still has y assets” digging, although kudos for them to point out that he sold stuff for way more than asking price. (Oh right I should like said article)

Prince Andrew: Where does he get his money from? - BBC News
Questions remain over how Prince Andrew will be able to afford his legal settlement.
www.bbc.com
He’s “leading” his residence in Windsor from the Crown Estate but I’d assume that’s some bullshit sweetheart deal, so £20k a year might go hella farther if he’s not *really* paying rent.

He had a fuckton of wealth before but had to sell a bunch to settle those lawsuits.
It feels like it’d be a lot easier for him to call some prince from elsewhere or blackmail another E-List member than it would be for him to get a loan for “the kind of money he’s used to having” on a naval pension.
I don’t thiiiink the duchy of York is revenue bearing but I could be wrong. Per the BBC he lost his £250k/yr allowance. when the queen cut him out of “working royals” status.

He does get £20k a year in naval pension a year per the same BBC article tho, so he’s got… that.
“Optical Line” would be a lovely name for a little money shot that splashed onto the camera lens
(Did I spend a bit of time on Wikipedia double checking the terms and specs before posting that? That’s true for most of my ‘terminology used wrong’ bits, yeah)
So it sounded better than 3.5mm would? Awesome, although maybe you could use more rings between the tip and the sleeve.
… but also that’d absolutely get them some smoke and hey, I dunno how much runway they have left or if Homeland Security could fuck up another funding round for them?
“Senator Wyden was one of our first verification checks and his office made sure to… We can send the documentation over for how to do domain verification again if you lost it, but since .gov domains are obviously something we can’t sell you’ll have to follow those steps yourself…”
On the one hand “yes, that’s really them” as a flag is signal neutral on some levels.

On the other it’d be *really* funny if Blooski told them to do domain based verification as a condition for the check mark. Does homeland security have anyone who knows how to fuck with DNS? We could find out!
Ooh! Adonis! I am showing him to my kittens so that they can understand how a true gentleman behaves (my largest kitten’s idea of playing with string has been attacking his brother who has stitches in currently, so he *needs* the role model)
I’d ask you to tell him how handsome he is but I figure the odds are you’ve done so in the past 15 minutes at any given moment in time when you’re at home and not asleep or something.

What a magnificent gentleman, and so dexterous with the string!
