I lived thru the end of public smoking. Early in my career I presented to city councils who were smoking, in front of audiences who were smoking.

When your “exclusive” lasts all of 7 hours, because you publicly named a guy who was never charged with a crime, and who now is being hounded by trolls, and will have this show up in internet searches for the rest of his life.

Absolute bravery and impeccable self-control after a literal fight for his life to not shoot the newly unarmed attacker with his own gun. To hit the brakes after a "him or me" kind of confrontation like that is a skill I'd wish more law enforcement would learn.
Many of us would, I’m sure, like to think we’d be brave (and smart) enough to do something like this in an absolutely terrifying moment like that. But I can only imagine the mental and physical effects you have to overcome

I know there are plenty of suburb people who are good at community care, but for the people it doesn't come naturally to, it really allows for the muscle of community to completely atrophy. It's a bummer to hear him talk about how he relates to his surroundings sometimes :/
