Regarding Reiner, I have known a lot of musicians and been in bands myself. I can’t overstate the importance of This Is Spinal Tap in adjusting the self-importance of musicians. Everyone knows the movie, everyone has identified Spinal Tap moments, everyone is humbler and funnier as a result.

I do not care if someone calls me ugly. Hell, I've had people in fandom call me ugly. It does not matter. However, the need for creators to be on camera is the WORST. You don't have to be pretty, but you do have to be "presentable." And "presentable" takes work.
As more and more creators are expected to be on camera to promote their comics, can we talk for a second about how this opens up female creators to intense harassment about their looks?
Not to mention a lot of "You only have a career in comics because you're good looking" comments?
