… huh. Youtube did an autoplay to a sewing machine repair video. Fairly recent Husqevarna that apparently had a bad screen, but the screen came back to life. (Bad cable; an intermittent problem is almost always electric/sensor.)

And I must add, trade school full of nontrads did not escape, so Jes is right that it absolutely isn't a "kids these days" issue or even just in academia. People are not firing on all cylinders. Worse, many don't seem to have noticed the check engine light.

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

Mem's raising for rent and is only a little over $200/$1133 of the way there. Rent's been late multiple times, shutoffs also aplenty & bill due. Doc needed for meds.

i have 5 lexapros left that are $30+ at walmart & now 2 days without blood pressure meds.
I thought id get them by now after paying utilities on time but i did not raise them, they all risk shut off & i now have til Monday night to raise $1133 rent.

Today we changed a light fixture that has been eating LED bulbs at the rate of 2-3 a year. Things I found in this marketed as luxury development house:
So much drywall mud and paint inside the box. (Tablespoons!)
Neither ground wire was connected. At all.
