What is the quintessential Onion headline? The strong contender that just randomly popped in my mind is "Hank Williams Jr. Honored by Institute For Football Preparedness"

+1.

The neoliberal revolution boiled down to center-left parties wanting to tear down the old way of doing politics and replace it with nothing. When you create a vacuum you need a better strategy than bitching about who and what fills it when your preferred answer is "Nobody, and nothing."
4) That orgs as unhinged as Code Pink and PSL are so visible in street-level organizing should prompt feelings of embarrassment and reflection on the part of the Democratic Party

These kinds of posts have a "going through the motions" feel to them, like it's the way they decided to defend Democrats from the left a decade ago and haven't had a new thought since.

It doesn't hold up given that all the same people who want Jeffries gone also want Schumer gone, but whatever.
Watch how white leftists will start shouting and demanding a primary challenge against Hakeem Jeffries as we get closer to the midterms. Especially once it looks like Democrats are poised to reclaim the House. It’s already starting.

Looks like we're going to get 3 judges confirmed this week with Democratic support. Up now is a cloture vote Susan Courtwright Rodriguez to be a District Judge for Western North Carolina. As of now, we have at least 1 member of the Democratic caucus giving this anti-choice nominee a yea vote.

Even starting from a baseline of understanding that we are cooked, at least once a day I see something on here that blows my hair back at how cooked we are.

Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

Normalizing corruption isn't a partisan project for Trump. The important thing is not whether the Menendezes and Cuellars of the world are on the Trump Train - it's establishing that corruption is no longer a thing that's worth prosecuting.

Honestly, this would be like if when Kennedy was president, the entire Republican opposition was a bunch of Herbert Hoover staffers and their hangers on.
And this isn't your imagination, or a fake problem I'm fabricating to get mad at. It's a few weeks until 2026 and we still have the opinions of *James Carville* force-fed to us like fois gras geese every 2-3 months. This is not normal. It's not. It's not supposed to work like this.

There’s a good chance that when it finally happens it will happen on camera and you’ll get to enjoy watching it over and over and over for the rest of your life, and while that’s not much, it’s not nothing. We’ll have that.

A core problem for American liberalism is a constitutional inability to tell people who were important to the movement decades ago to go away because they're not relevant anymore.

Reagan/GW Bush admin people might as well not exist to the modern right. Maybe that's...something to consider.
Hillary Clinton blames TikTok and “totally made up” videos for young people’s views on Israel and Palestine.

She says social media influenced “not just the usual suspects” but also “young Jewish Americans who don’t know the history and don’t understand.”
