While we were folding laundry, the toddler came into the room carrying a makeshift torch consisting of an electric candle wrapped in paper.

This this this. There are a lot of people who think stealing from artists or replacing jobs are “complicated ethical questions” but if you tell them they’re burning up the planet they have no response.

Kiddo was absolutely SHRIEKING at us that we couldn’t have the brussels sprouts because they were going to eat them all “just like this” so we said okay and gave them the stalk of sprouts and told them they could eat as many as they wanted and I would cook the rest.
