A depressingly large portion of the population resent people challenging the status quo. They resent poverty, immigrants, Black people, women & so on. They will not identify with victims only with the state. Because they aspire to power to oppress, not to liberation. Regardless of political party

I was having this conversation last night with someone about how many people are in the lynching postcard layer of this and simply do not care who the state harms or kills, they have already convinced themselves that person deserves it.
I talk to MAGA voters a lot. They are open and honest about supporting mass deportation. They think it's a good thing, and they support the mission of ICE.

The language they use to justify it and to excuse the horrors, is *exactly* the same language that centrist Dems use to justify US policing.
When was the last time you talked to a Trump supporter about how happy they are about all this? I experienced this the other day, and the advantage they have is how morbidly stunning their alternative reality is. They hate being called Nazis, yet refuse to see why violent terror forces are wrong.

But what folks don't realize, is that an antiblack society is a society built around death. Slaughter and necromancy ass settler colony. The violence is *never* limited to only Black people, and by not opposing Black death, you give you ok for ALL manner of life to be obliterated by this society.

Exactly what I'm tellin yall every day.

White folks are good with the killing as long as its not white folks on the line.

That's always been an acceptable cost of whiteness.
Exactly this. The reason why this has everyone all up in arms now, is that this kind of violence is "supposed" to happen to Black ppl, not white ppl. Folks are mad at the social contract of an antiblack society being supposedly breached
January 25, 2026 at 10:02 AM
The fact that so many white people have, very publicly, not yet realized that they need to throw some punches shows just how safe ICE still are.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

Hank, and I say this both as a genuine answer, and as someone who truly does not respect you at all --

Have you tried throwing a fist?

Again, this is a real answer. I'm very serious.

The answer to people who only communicate in violence, is to speak in violence.

Punch your racist uncle, Hank.
Does anyone have any idea how we break the echo chambers? No Trump voter in my family will ever know what actually happened to Alex Pretti or Renee Good. They will believe the officers were justified. They will watch Fox News and that will be the end of it.

I clicked on this video and immediately thought of the hundreds of videos from Gaza I’ve received with the sound of a drone overhead in the background. Our struggles are all the same.
I just want people outside of Minneapolis to watch this and imagine listening to that noise over you literally all the time
laying candles at a vigil for alex pettri in loring park after he was shot by ICE today in minneapolis under the noisy state patrol helicopter that has been a constant presence

I saw a statistic somewhere that I wish I could find now, but its (minimally) several hundred.

A ton of organizers who are busy exposing ICE agents have shown time and again how J6-to-ICE is basically a circle.
I would love to know how many people who were convicted for January 6 are now member ICE

Cosign, about a lot of things.

Just because a thing is in existence, doesn't mean you have to use it.

I'm not bout to start using heroin just cuz its there.

Its a bad idea.

Thats how yall gotta start approaching some of the things in our reality.
i mean really.

really.

it doesn't seem very hard. just because something is on offer and in the public sphere doesn't mean we should praise it as if it were some kind of savior.

feels like praising tobacco for existing.

Its incredibly important to note in this story that many of these people screaming are CHILDREN.

Incredibly important.
As many as 1500 detainees at the Dilley ICE camp have erupted in protest.

Lawyers were kicked out amid chants of: "Let us out! libertad!!"

Detainees say ~80% are rebelling, motivated by the news from Minneapolis, the general strike, and the imprisonment of little Liam.

As we grieve for Alex Pretti and Renee Good in MN, please do not forget Victor Manuel Diaz, who died in ICE custody after being taken from here. And all others who have died in their custody.
36-year-old Nicaraguan national Victor Manuel Diaz died in ICE custody on Jan. 14 at Camp East Montana in El Paso.

The Texas Nicaraguan Community on FB reports that his mom last heard from him on Jan. 6, when he told her he was planning to go to Minneapolis to start work in a restaurant. 1/3

And also, THE GUARDIAN, even if he fucking had a gun, in public, THAT IS LEGAL.

Even if he had a gun in public, that does not mean the state has the right to murder you in cold blood.
