Four cemetery workers, all U.S. citizens, arrested during a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation that crossed over onto the private Concordia Cemetery in the west suburban village of Forest Park.

It's actually good to point out Bari Weiss's shitty inaccuracies, her lack of any real journalistic experience or original ideas, and the fact that she's failing upward, promoted by antidemocratic oligarchs who have no interest in reporting the truth.

I have been watching the devastating videos from friends and colleagues. Some folks are still missing in cold waters. The few news and info sources for locals are also the same ones being cut by federal funding. People should know this is happening

I was thinking about Nicole tonight because she also did mutual aid. I remember once I got let go when a restaurant I worked at closed right before rent was due, and she literally kept me in my apartment. I was just a person she sort of kind of knew on Twitter.

Miss her energy. A good take.

This was doubly weird, because Nicole Cliffe was basically the platonic ideal of that-era Twitter account.

An incredibly wealthy elite who was smart enough to act occasionally embarrassed about it, and who was also sort of insane but in a fun, rather than violent or scary, way.

I remember people went absolutely ballistic about this and it was partially why Nicole Cliffe left Twitter. It's kind of infuriating how people lost their damn minds about it. (Also, remember when people thought a Nigerian fan of Buttigieg was a sock puppet account?)

The director says he’s intent on finding a way to wrap it up, but how? 😭

Miss Major Griffin-Gracy passed away today according to the House of GG. She was a veteran of the Stonewall rebellion and a lifelong organizer for the safety and dignity of trans people, sex workers, and the incarcerated. She came from the same generation and milieu as Marsha and Sylvia. She was 78.

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.

If you don’t see the link between ICE and the IDF, you haven’t been paying attention. We are being asked to accept a world where whole communities are made disposable and marked for disappearance. If we accept that for anyone, no one is safe anywhere.

I watched season 3, then, in a state of deep suspicion, so should rewatch with more patience—found the series finale genuinely moving

Sahar’s account has been deleted again, in less than a day.

Please follow her and donate to help her son Odai ♥️

Did you all forget about Odai?
Odai was injured by a quadcopter over a year and a half ago.
Since that day, his life full of pain, inflammation
He still can’t walk normally, and his medications have run out.
Everyone moved on
but Odai is still here, suffering in silence.💔

Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5 and Odd Jobs” includes a cover of Woody Guthrie’s “Deportee (Plane Wreck at Los Gatos),” written about a deportation flight crash that killed 28 migrant farm workers in 1948.

Back in 94, I went into a Borders Books in Ann Arbor to look for reference for a complicated Hawkman panel background. The bookseller I talked to couldn’t help me, but we wound up becoming friends & she introduced me to Sara who, three years later, I married! #lieberAMA

What is your favorite panel in anything you've worked on, and why?

“We have seen pigeons fall from the sky, shot down by drones. My nephews & nieces cried over them as if they had lost loved ones.” In Gaza, survival means union—even across species. We're bombed together, starved together, displaced together. We do not abandon each other, says Hend Salama Abo Helow.
Israel calls us “human animals,” never understanding that our bond with animals is the deepest proof of our humanity
Like all of us Palestinians in Gaza, our animals have been displaced, starved, bombed, and terrorized, yet we refuse to abandon each other
