i get the sense that they'd rather make trans people leave than make trans people stay, if they can at all manage to figure out how to revoke citizenship on that basis. like, i'm more worried about my trans friends who travel a lot being barred from reentry than anything else

Thatcher's government did this with Section 28, banned the "promotion of homosexuality" as a danger to children, while actively protecting Jimmy Savile and who knows how many other pedophiles. It's the same damn playbook.
