I’m going to say it again, generative AI and the push for it to be used in every Avenue of learning and education is because generative AI literally is a weapon for knowledge destruction not a knowledge creation tool and silicon valleys goal is to monetize and gate off all of human knowledge

Neo liberalism is about maintaining the status quo so the wealth class and others can continue making money no matter what. Actually countering these extreme forces would put at risk normalcy, and the money being made by artificially maintaining this status quo.

This is the same reason that Western and Americanist counter extremism and counter misinformation experts are unwilling to do any kind of work to actually stop fascism or rightwing extremism because actually stopping these forces would mean taking apart large sections of institutional power.

I think it should be very clear to people that the Democratic elected officials in major cities do not have control of their police, or they are telling their police to beat their own citizens while out of the other side of their mouth, telling the citizen that they are there to protect them.

The amount of grief, information overload and unease we are all experiencing in cycle after cycle is affecting us all in different ways.

Fascism is incredibly cognitively invasive and manifests in waves through our lives.

We must learn to treat ourselves with grace as the noise increases.

Bystander filming asks man for his name. ICE agent lies and says he’s not allowed to speak to him “by law” and another says “We’ve arrested American citizens for being too close…If he gets any closer, put him in cuffs.”
