Rob is my best friend’s father in law and I know him well. He’s an absolutely incredible person and knowing him now, his past seems impossible. He is one of the most kind hearted, loving people I have ever met. He’s also brave AF to admit his past deeds and march alongside people he has harmed.
He spent decades bringing the religious right to power. Now he's marching to undo it.

Rev. Rob Schenck spent decades helping build the Religious Right—commingling church and state to advance conservative causes. Now, he says he must confront the damage he helped cause.

Yesterday's bystander becomes tomorrow's revolutionary after today's atrocity
Here's a regular white guy (literally "Chad") not a protester. because, "It seemed pointless, or just a way for people to expiate their sense of guilt." Chad witnessed something shattering. And, that all changed in a moment.

Excellent article!

No ones neck's as incredibly thick as Gaston's

This is piddly shit that will be worked out, but it is behavior that you do not expect from a federal prosecutor's office.

And it is not the sort of behavior that you want in the record in a case that is over federal officials refusing to participate and cooperate with other governing entities.

Update: In the evidence preservation lawsuit, the current Civil Chief at the Minnesota U.S. Attorney's Office (who appears to be Ana Voss, based on the letter), refused to accept email service of the lawsuit last night and then refused to accept in-person service until Monday.

Ridiculous behavior.

Understand that 370 days ago even bringing a motion like this would probably have been treated as sanctionably frivolous

Today it was granted ex parte
A federal judge issues a restraining order against the feds, barring them from "destroying or altering evidence"

alt nps is doing qanon posting about the people in my city getting murdered, maimed, abducted & trafficked by the federal government
AltNPS posted about Alex Pretti's murder 25 times since this morning. During that time, they spread misinformation about the shooting, lied about knowing the shooter's name, and generally flooded the zone with shit.

They're trying to milk this story for all it's worth.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

White. Hot. Rage.

I wonder/wish one of the libraries in the area would have a thunderbolt/usb4 LTO-8 drive in their library of things.

Feels stupid to have a bunch of fragile USB drives sitting around with backups.

Defendants in the ongoing DOJ voter rolls litigation (including MN as such plus some already granted intervenors) should file this letter immediately along with a motion for applicable sanctions and also asking for a criminal referral.
Absolutely reprehensible that AG Bondi is offering ICE stand down in exchange for access to voting rolls. Outrageous and disgusting. It shows ICE is in Minneapolis is not for law enforcement purposes. Instead it’s a way to stir up shit in blue states and extort them.
In the wake of another fatal shooting in Minneapolis.
AG Pam Bondi sends Gov. Walz a letter today making several asks including:
"Allow DOJ Civil Rights division access to state voter rolls"

BREAKING: A young doctor who lives near where Alex Pretti, a nurse, was killed by ICE says in a declaration he saw the shooting, went out to help, was not let through at first then patted down before being let by, and was apparently the first to try and provide any medical assistance to Pretti.

I don't think ICE planned this shooting as some kind of message. I do think this shooting was inevitable, and that this inevitability IS on purpose

You don't need to order these fucks to randomly kill people who film them. The system takes care of that itself

A regular reminder that cops have been doing exactly this to Black Americans for far longer than our cellphone culture has been reporting it.

If we want the nation in which we live to be different, we must organize, rise up, and make it so.

With *diverse tactics* including big strikes and more.
