Oh wow hi new followers, welcome along on this long, strange trip we call life.

I'm Revontulet, I'm an Aquarius, I immigrated to Canada nearly 15 years ago from the US, I like photography, cooking, house/bass music, stories about your cats, & playing Diablo 4. I'm learning to DJ & make bad mashups.

I keep seeing people saying "the Democrats" should create a list of bureaucrats who will be "held accountable" for their current actions. But anyone could create that list and also actually define what is meant by accountability. If it's mainly prison, good luck. But might it be other consequences?

one of my "counterintuitive facts that explains everything" facts is that without new construction cities get less dense as they gentrify, bc wealthier households have fewer kids and fewer people per bedroom

Incidentally, the logistics on this are pretty difficult—they’re trying to make sure they don’t deplete the shelves of the one and only grocery store, so they’re planning far in advance, may be driving two hours to get to a better-stocked area, might be ordering stuff.

If you’re considering—
Really proud of my mom. She chased down details of a local food bank, and on realizing that a full fifth of her town relies on it, she’s not only set up a repeat contribution, but she’s planning to expand her garden plot.

She and my sister are about to bake 200+ cookies to send home with folks.

Totally oblivious to the fact that some of us have been doing this intensively since last November.

And in fact some of us have been doing this for decades.

In this Manhattan diner, it was a tradition: croissants, a big café au lait, then everyone opens the society pages to lament how the clubby pedophile scene disappeared as collateral damage of the woke #MeToo mob.
