Canada admitted it was committing genocide on Indigenous children over 100 years ago.

Only ghouls demand bodies after the perpetrator has admitted guilt.
breeno.bsky.social
Say it with me: They weren't "Residential Schools".

They were FORCED LABOUR DEATH CAMPS that incarcerated Indigenous children as inmates.

#Genocide admitted by the chief Indian Agent of #Canada in 1914.

Read it and weep for the children, our cherished relatives.
It cannot be gainsaid that in the early days of school administration in the territories, while the problem was still a new one, the system was open to criticism. Insufficient care was exercised in the admission of children to the schools. The well-known predisposition of Indians to tuberculosis resulted in a very large percentage of deaths among the pupils. They were housed in buildings not carefully designed for school purposes, and these buildings became infected and dangerous to the inmates. It is quite within the mark to say that fifty percent cent of the children who passed through the schools did not live to benefit from the education which they had received therein.

To be a cop, you have to believe that your desire for violence is necessary/righteous, but anyone else's is bad and needs to be punished. There are no 'bad apples;' the whole orchard is rotten by design, rotten from the soil.

I once worked with a guy who wanted SOOOO badly to become a cop ...

... so that he could bully and harass people with zero consequences. ALL. DAY. LONG.

This is not an uncommon fantasy among their ranks.

Oh, my dude!

This isn't debate club.

You are the guy that makes false claims, and doesn’t finish what you start for *gestures wildly* reasons

You waste peoples time, efforts, and money because you like to make egregiously graphic claims with zero proof of them, for attention perhaps or for worse

You didn’t strike anything, I dig

What a waste of time. The only Canadian quoted runs a Seattle-based ferry business. When the threat of annexation gets mentioned (well down the story), it's framed as an issue of "national pride", as though the problem was hurt feelings and not violations of international law and basic decency.

Tell these American whisky guys to vote harder or cope harder.

Not a defence.

Only noting their "principle" of politics.

Truly.

The "legitimate monopoly" on violence is held by the functional state.

So say the political scientists.

Sorry for a hijack, Wil, but with the second season of Fallout coming out in December, I gotta say it:

Will they ever bring in anyone into the Prime series from the fan series Fallout: Nuka Break?

Like, get Tybee Diskin in for a cameo!

Is there any bigger truth than this?

Who cares if it does?

This is cathartic.

They can burn to the ground or build a paradise, for all Canadians care at this point.

If only the modern Supreme Court was held to the findings of previous USSC benches.

But they aren't.

And that's the lie of strict constructionism/textualism/constitutional literalism among the US judiciary.

Canadians DGAF.

Who knows?

Maybe Canadians can hold out against the US as long as the US has held out against Cuba?

Ok but this is the same logic of sanctions programs and tell me how that's worked out
