“Researchers have found that when a new plasma center opens in a neighborhood, foot traffic at local grocery stores increases, interest in payday loans declines and crime goes down, an indication of the way money from plasma props up households’ finances for necessities.“
Middle-class Americans are selling their plasma to make ends meet
Last year, people in the U.S. made an estimated $4.7 billion selling their plasma. Donation centers are popping up in middle-class neighborhoods, including suburban strip malls and college towns.

It’s funny to hear this report list all the ways Chinese data collection could be a threat when the US does the same things and poses a much greater threat given Trump’s 51st state comments. There’s only a brief acknowledgement at the end that the US isn’t trustworthy either.

But why was this happening?

For two years, Oklahoma delayed basic tests that could help them find out.

James Van Der Beek was wealthy and people raised millions to give his family after he died only to now feel “taken advantage of” because they released the 4.5 million dollar price tag of the ranch he had just bought a month prior to his death. That’s yalls fault for giving rich ppl money. 🙁
