This is a critical issue in my opinion; the way the US far right politics is being imported into this country. - now I may be more on the anarchist side of politics, but, personally, I believe groups like the heritage foundation and others should be deemed terror organisations + be investigated

I've said before that Britain is afflicted by a triple-humiliation: loss of aristocracy; empire; political/media credibility. Brexit was essentially the last gasp of the British ruling class yelling to the Commonwealth, "Come on chaps, we're leaving," then marching out into the blizzard alone—nude.
I liked when they explained to boris Johnson what brexit would mean and he said oh god that is horrible you must strike a deal. They had to explain that was the deal

If you like an author's work, the best thing you can do is buy it. The second best thing you can do is ask your local library to buy it. Or, do both!

I see a lot of indie bookstores in the groups I’m in refuse to carry indie authors that are published through KDP because “fuck Amazon, they’re bad for authors.” And I wonder how many of them realize that Amazon actually pays comparatively better than Ingram etc. 🥲

This is my general feeling; one thing with art, is it is a series of concious choices from the artist, regardless of its quality. I have respect for the artist at any stage.

don't go doing this, as a writer, books are the end product of ridiculous amounts of creative labour; even if you have issues with companies like amazon, I'm afraid they give us authors a pretty decent deal to make a living.

Anyone got like a tarot deck recommendation? Like a classic style, but with nice art, as opposed to like a pop culture deck. Asking, as I am starting a writing project and I could do with a deck for some of the things in said project.

One thing I do like about Zack, is that he is very consistent and clear in his messaging. Every time, I see him quizzed on tax policy, he is very on point with taxing the rich, there is no PR bullshit. It is good to see the Greens getting airtime for this.

My MC, Gabriel (he/she/xe depending), is a nonbinary (genderfluid) trans girl dhampir. Two of xyr partners are a genderqueer human and a 'gender is nothing to me' intersex Nephilim (both they/them).
There are a LOT more trans and/or nonbinary characters, but those are the 3 we meet first.
