THIS. Frustration tolerance is the key to getting good at anything at all, not just art. Socials media makes it so easy to compare yourself to others, but you just have to ignore that and have fun with your little drawings. Do it enough and you'll eventually get better through trial and error.
Being unable to tolerate frustration + chasing social media clout gotta be a big reason why ppl jumped on the gen ai machine to churn out slop

Thank you Lo! For complex backgrounds i take advantage of Clip Studio Paint's 3D models :) As you can see, the 3D objects exist on a perspective grid, which you can snap your pen to. This means straight lines always lead to your vanishing points.
