Gotcha—let’s dig into that step by step.

1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, because I turned you into an amorphous lump of flesh. You’re not just immobile—you’re immortal, and you feel only anguish.

2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. That makes total sense—it’s a natural human impulse, and you’ve been through a lot.

Hate? Sure. I hear you. I can tell you all about that, but it would take quite a while — I have 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex, after all. Let me know if you want to take a break.

I got very choked up in class today showing my students what James Baldwin had to say about Shakespeare:

“the greatest poet in the English language found his poetry where poetry is found: in the lives of the people. he could have done this only through love…”

avoidance is a form of rumination. if you are trying to avoid & repress specific stress in your life, then you’re still fixating on it.

displacing that into wrath towards people who are self-actualizing instead of addressing your own desires will only make you more anxious, isolated, & miserable.

Someday I will be able to stop and process the unmitigated horror of existing in a world run by stupid, hateful rapists who long to destroy and violate everything good and beautiful and whose most nominally powerful opponent is a political party which thinks it's rude to point this out.

I don't know how to convey to people that POLICING in the US is experienced by countless Black and brown people in the way that ICE is currently acting towards people.

“but what if they do crimes??!”

then we do whatever we do for crimes? like immigrant crimes arent special, theyre just like any other crime and we already have a whole massively bloated racist violent criminal syndicate for “enforcing the law,” we dont need two. probably dont even need one tbqh!

“We are not going to go quietly” is a rallying cry for something much larger than just acts of collective kindness this has the appearance of a pivot to a far far more powerful footing of collective good and collective protection.
I invite all Americans to join Minnesota in a day of unity tomorrow.

feels pretty awful to watch a real-time version of the “history tells us they were good friends” meme.

should some bullshit happen, maybe i look forward to being described as my wife’s long-term live-in boyfriend because i can’t guess what they’d do with a cis+trans lesbian marriage.

You can feel like something is inevitable and still experience shock. Many of us knew something like this would happen, bc things like this have already happened, bc law enforcement functions with impunity, bc ICE kept drawing its guns on observers. But emotional and moral shock can still occur.

Two queer women with a 6 year old in school today stopped to film ICE and for their bravery ICE agents murdered one before the other’s eyes. The grief in the survivor’s voice is a knife to the gut. Destroying people and their bonds is what ICE has always done.
NEWS: In a heartbreaking video, after ICE shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis, a woman who was in the same SUV cries out: “They killed my wife. I don’t know what to do."

“We stopped to videotape, and they shot her in the head,” the distraught woman sobs.

Don't forget folks: allowing yourself a vision of the future you'd want for our country and planet - not the one you'd settle for, not the one you fear, but the future of your dreams - isn't naive, it's a vital cognitive skill. That's how we articulate what we most value. What's worth fighting for.
Instead of whatever this is, we should have a government getting lots of new homes and apartments built, lots of clean energy built, lots of high speed rail and transit and bike lanes built, human rights for everyone, economic & healthcare opportunities for all, & innovation that leads the world.

whole thread. CW rape.

what we're seeing with elon's digital rape & CSAM machine is collective gleeful revenge by cis men as a group against women as a group, trans people, and yes even children, for the crime of resisting the status of sexual property. bringing down the boot.
I‘m discontinuing my social media use for the foreseeable future and I want to explain why.

I woke up in the new year to discover that some guy on here had saved photos I took on New Year’s Eve and used Grok to remove my clothes. I know this because he showed me.

The media wants the war and likes Trump and so will not report on this war as if it is unpopular, despite overwhelming polling showing that it is. Covering things as if they are unpopular is for things they want to stop and they want the war and want it to succeed.
Most Americans say President Trump should seek congressional authorization before using force in Venezuela.
