OpenAI Loses Key Discovery Battle as It Cedes Ground to Authors in AI Lawsuits
The issue has been a major battleground in discovery. OpenAI could be on the hook for hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars if it was aware it was infringing on copyrighted material.

Jason Kenney ultimately got toppled by his own party's base because he took some tepid steps, belatedly, on COVID-19.

Based on the crowd reaction at the UCP convention this weekend, Danielle Smith might get turfed because she tried to co-operate, however reluctantly, with Ottawa.

DiGiorno Pizza & Wyngz (2011-circa 2018): A classic DiGiorno frozen pizza, packaged along with a "side order" of white meat chicken fritters in sauce, which had to be spelled "wyngz" as they did not contain any actual wing meat. This was part of a line of "combo meals" from DiGiorno in the 2010's.

Seeing these stats makes me think of a time when I went to Montreal in December for a conference.

I landed in MTL late and took an airport taxi to my hotel.

I asked the driver if he had snow tires and he said "mandatory", and proceeded to drive 140 on the highway. I've never been more frightened
I can’t find great US data, but in Canada it ranges from 68% of people in BC using winter tires to 100% in Quebec (where they’re mandatory).

I'll miss these this year, always a part of my Xmas chocolate and candy assortment.
For over 130 years, Canadians either loved or hated Cherry Blossoms.
Considered a staple of the Christmas season, these candies were often found in stockings.
In January 2025, it was announced Cherry Blossoms were being discontinued.
This is their history.
