Sudden urge to catch up because it clicked watching RRR most of my knowledge on historical India is post East India Trade Company & British occupation.

Ancient & pre-middle age India a major export of culture & luxury (and religion, explicitly Buddhism) but making sure records beyond the Vedas, the Mahabharata, & the Ramayana…. not so much.

My own understanding of the history through the Mahabharata actually not that uncommon.

This is also a really good example of *how* AI screws up. The Zhou were the longest dynasty…. in *China*. Which is stated in the Wikipedia article it links to.

But the longest dynasty in China has nothing on the dynasties of what is now India, and Japan’s imperial house goes back 1400+ years.

No. No no no no. If I wanted web research I can check Wikipedia & web sites. I want a detailed narrative crafted by someone who took the time & effort to actually write it.
