The battle isn't about speed or licensing, it's about infrastructure. If people could move at 30kmh an hour safely on the road, they will! The issue is that they don't feel safe

TDF riders often exceed 50kmh, that's an average speed.

And most people lack the knowledge or ability to to hack the ECUs. And a majority of the people riding them don't care to!

Compared to what? I ride an analog bike at 35-40 kmh regularly. Worst injury I've ever had was a cracked rib. For reference, that's *faster* than what an e-bike is *limited* to.

And the cracked rib was from aggressive singletrack riding at a lower speed than that.

Yep. Fast Travel home to upgrade weapons, and that's it. Everything else, I nab the upgrades when I'm in town or even opportunistically at a camp site.

Seriously. It's a game that I *feel bad* for using fast travel. Travel and exploration is a joy, not a chore.
