'measles outbreak at the child prison' seems entirely avoidable, it's really the kind of thing that only happens if you do several unthinkably evil things on purpose all at once

Because I'm talking about measles. It is also A VERY VERY VERY CONTAGIOUS VIRUS. If someone is in a room and has measles and then leaves that room and you enter that room within TWO HOURS (depending on humidity) you can get measles.

And people are contagious for four days before the rash appears.
::taps mic::

beyond being an absolutely miserable illness, measles can cause immune amnesia. It wipes out your immune systems memory of how to fight every infection, every vaccine you've ever had.

A measles outbreak is growing in a rural area of West Texas where vaccination rates are well below the recommended level.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

"When in doubt, draw a distinction."

Not sure where he got it, but in grad school one of my teachers taught me that.

This (long) thread is about the key distinctions I rely on as a critic. There's a Twitter version from 2021. This one builds on that one.

I will post them one at a time. Ready?

I think Starfleet Academy is woke because they just did an episode about recognizing the colonialist attitudes underlying their white savior complex and pivoting to center the experience of a marginalized group instead. SO EXCITED for this footage. I've been watching thousands of crows roost at sunset for awhile, but I've struggled to get quality flying in front of moon footage.

Last night I captured 8 of the 10,000+ crows take the path I've wanted.

More, better, to come in the future! But super jazzed for now 🪶

1) Child Sex Traffiking.

2) I thought the child sex traffiker's network would really help me get a leg up in my career.

Saying "I was doing the second one!" Okay.... you still suck shit!

This is helpful.

Unfortunately, not very helpful with my current anxious thought that was I had a dream when I was napping this afternoon that I was afraid to open this app and find out something bad happened to Dolly Parton.

Luckily, I don’t believe in jinxes or premonitions.

Will start responding to all accusations of something being "performative" with "no, it's demonstrative."

We need to shut down the word "performative" until we can figure out what the hell is going on. Of course adopting symbols of protest and resistance is performative! Performance is a core strategy for mass movements!! That's why the call them demonstrations!!!
