Updating my prediction for Trump’s death to dying just before mid terms.

Prior to this I predicted he wouldn’t see the end of his term. But I feel like we’re getting a lot closer.

In a landmark move, Pope Leo has appointed Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś — a leading progressive voice for synodal reform — as the new Archbishop of Kraków, John Paul II’s former diocese.

This marks a major shift for Poland’s Church and signals that Leo’s papacy will deepen, not dilute, Francis’s legacy.
Pope Leo XIV Picks Progressive Bishop for John Paul II’s Home Diocese
In a historic changing of the guard for Poland, Pope Leo XIV has appointed Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś — widely seen as “Pope Francis’s man” in the Polish Church — to the Archdiocese of Kraków.

When yall say things like everyone is poor it makes me realize that you have not actually looked poverty in the face.

It is absolutely disingenuous for anyone to liken him/herself to people who cannot pay bills, who are unhoused, who truly have empty cupboards, who do not have warm sheets.

The best and most amazing move the Heritage Foundation did was getting people to loathe CRT .

It has allowed them so very many avenues to not only destroy and hinder public conversation for years … but to prey on people’s need to prove the people targeted have no words to be heard
This is part of the frustration people are having in not being able to get people to regard Trump as a criminal, they saw this tactic and narrative work very well when people wanted to end cash bail, treat kids like kids, provide alternatives to incarceration etc. they just ran it up to beat that.

Can we just put all these people and their fans/followers on an island and the rest of us just get on with life here in reality?

With all due respect, this is EXACTLY the wrong question. "How do we get through the next 3 years" implicitly takes out of consideration the idea that this gang could be removed from power before the term ends.

We should be asking *how* to remove them or pressure them to throw the worst ones out.
Exactly.

The question is how the hell we get through the next 3 years when the regime is hellbent on ethnic cleansing, electoral malfeasance, and selling the country out to whoever will enrich Trump and his cronies.
Team Trump justifies his endless parade of lawless actions as what Americans voted for but it clearly is not. He’s minus 25 and people hate everything he’s doing. There’s no support for any of this, let alone in the illegal manner it’s being imposed.

Context matters
As such, they are asking that when reporting potential ICE/CPB/etc activity to the hotline or posting on social media or whatever, you MUST include time and date and exact location (cross streets/landmarks/businesses better than addresses for victim privacy reasons); timestamps are too easy to miss.

To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."
