This past year, The Tribune spent $80,899 fighting various departments within the state of Utah for access to public records. Unfortunately, the legislature took note and passed no fewer than four laws that further restricted access to records in 2025.

Unfortunately, the entire point of nationalism is to talk about who “really” is a member of the “nation.”

To stop the inevitable violence and division this entails, we reject nationalisms of any sort.

The last thing this is about is helping people addicted to drugs.

In blowing up the vessel, destroying evidence and repatriating the survivors, the U.S. cut short a process that’s helped bring down traffickers.

i am not going to pretend there’s a debate about what heritage american means. there is not. the debate over whether there’s a debate is a means of infiltration and normalization. if we are going to debate this then we must also debate if 2 and 2 make 5. it’s no less obviously stupid and malignant.

I love how this short clip (from a longer film reel) has Sinatra correctly calling out nationalists as "Nazis." Very laudable.

However, if you watch the entire reel (available on YouTube), you'll see the US nationalism that Sinatra was upholding

All nationalisms bend towards fascism, as we can see
HHS is trying to force Seattle Children's into doing a Sophie's choice of abandoning trans youth or see kids with cancer or other serious illness have their coverage and care disrupted. That's what this is about.

Hopefully, the courts put a quick stop to this like the subpoenas.

We have got to stop analyzing Trump's behaviour as if it is all in service of some "policy goal." It mostly is not.

It is in the service of enriching himself and those who continue to support him. That's it. That is, in a nutshell, what all states are, but particularly the authoritarian type.

In the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election, I remember this was a big talking point amongst right-wing conspiracy theorists: Biden is ignoring NC!

It was BS then, and Trump's "support" for NC is BS now.

One new war-crime for every Epstein document.

Just saw Eddington and WTAF?!

How did it receive glowing reviews? Like One Battle After Another, it is a dangerous caricature of the Left. Both of these films play into the Trump narrative that the Left is indeed a band of "terrorists," as we are told they are "critiques" of Trumpism.

Extremely funny to call the pope “holier-than-thou”

Nationalists always try to convince us that the nation-state, with its territories, immigration & border controls, and military violence are the equivalent to our homes and that the “nation” is a “family

They are not. These are nationalist tricks to try and garner support for fascism.
I'd be delighted to have a hairstylist or a youth soccer coach visit for a night

Trump is building the infrastructure of a police state. People marked as "migrants" are its first and foremost targets.

But anyone who thinks "citizens" will also not end up in these national gulags is not facing reality.

Gotta say, as a survivor, I’m not super loving this thing where the Department of Justice is running a cover-up of evidence the President sexually abused minors.

Yes!

We play the “good migrant” vs “bad migrant” or “good citizen” vs “bad citizen” game at our collective peril.
I don’t mean to sound extreme, but I don’t think we should have torture camps for people with criminal records either.
