My automatic reaction when people don't read line two of my bio is just to block but I make exceptions for furs and at least ask them before I do so.

The Pope is evidently a decent man & good priest with a huge task, but him yelling to a random guy about the Cubs like he's in the parking lot at Menards will always make me double-check if I'm sober

I bet the popes have been yelling at random guys about Italian stuff for centuries and we have simply never had the need to notice before.

welcome to bluesky, every post is one of these two or an anthropomorphized cartoon with a big shapely ass

oh, sometimes there's pictures of food/art people made

lawyers posting about sports, professors posting about pets, celebrities radicalized against fascism

stuff like that, you get used to it

I see protest discourse is hitting the feed again ahead of No Kings—idk man, go, don’t go,

…but if you do go make sure to link up with an org that’ll help you get into longterm organizing and if you don’t go, make sure to link up with an org that’ll help you get into longterm organizing

See which protein powders/drinks they have listed before you freak out

But this is a very important study, we need protein supplements regulated so we aren't drinking fucking lead
paris.nyc
my latest investigation for @consumerreports.org is based on months of reporting and 60+ lab tests of leading protein supplements

we found that most protein powders and shakes have more lead in one serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day (🧵)

"You couldn't make Blazing saddles today"

Honey, you couldnt make Blazing Saddles in 1973. It was very controversial when it came out. Very subversive.

I wonder how many people are looking into the eyes of family members or friends who still support the orange wannabe dictator and asking them directly "What does it feel like to be a fascist?"

Trump found another $20 BILLION to give to Argentina, totaling their bailout to $40 BILLION.

Yet we can’t afford to prevent millions of Americans from losing their healthcare.

Shame.

I read the piece. You shouldn't. He dismisses the "No Kings" protests as liberals in blue cities. He invokes Rosa Parks, as if rural white people in the 60s loved everything that the movement then was doing. "We need a movement but not this one" is a core centrist tact these days.

the extent to which media elites treat liberal americans as if they do not count in the body politic is a real problem
