Imagine entertaining conversations with type of ppl “debating” over who “doesn’t deserve” food, re: the SNAP issue. They’re discussing food like a gift, reward or luxury not a need. Like get thee behind me, satan. Ppl like that are not worth a single sentence on any social media platform. Blockiana.

the widely misunderstood chorus of “Achy Breaky Heart” portrays a hostage situation. “This man” does not refer to the speaker but to a bystander whose name we never learn. Some glosses on the text refer to this bystander as “Citizen X.” At any rate, he does not survive

“The company’s estimates therefore suggest that every seven days, around 560,000 people may be exchanging messages with ChatGPT that indicate they are experiencing mania or psychosis.”

YIKES!
In recent months, a growing number of people have ended up hospitalized, divorced, or dead after having long, intense conversations with ChatGPT. Some of their loved ones allege the chatbot fueled their delusions and paranoia.

I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS. You cannot "trick" Mamdani with any question because he knows what he believes and he acts on those beliefs.

support whomever you’d like, but what is frustratingly dishonest about this take is that actual issue — the thing critics have identified as the problem — isn’t the decision of the 21-year old to get the tattoo, but of the judgment of the 40-year old who still has it.
I think political writers actually should have an opinion about a guy in his 40s having a Nazi tattoo. The decision to keep it on their body may tell us more than their website.

I think about this in how the guy who ran MySpace sold his company and then traveled the world doing photography, while the guy who runs Facebook never let it go and has gone out of his way to destroy democracy in order to gain more power.
The desperate need to accumulate more and more at the cost of everyone else’s wellbeing should be classified as a mental disorder, and I will absolutely die on this hill.
Guillermo del Toro on wealth: "a wealthy man is a man who has enough, not a man that needs more. If you have enough to invite someone for a beer? You're rich. If you have a yacht, planes, islands, and you still need more? You're not rich."

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net
I went to the National Gallery and was really struck by how much Andrew Cuomo reminds me of Quentin Matsys' "The Ugly Duchess" and now you all have to see it too.

there was some discourse going around about whether being cruel or insulting to AI was "abuse" and while i generally believe it isn't i feel like forcing one to read a hundred million tweets a day might be crossing the line
You might be in that phase for a while. My 8yo is doing this with marshmallows and mayo and more.

He tells me he saves a little of everything from his lunch at school to the end and puts it all on his one marshmallow to eat as the final bite. It's become quite an event for the other kids to watch.

The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to acquire TikTok and his family could soon own both Paramount and Warner Bros.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?

"Suspected" by whom, with what evidence? And on what authority is anyone allowed to use strikes on "suspected drug" boats which is not a capital offense? This is just murder and these outlets are cowards for calling it anything else.
