The ‘Transit’ gender clinic in Spain has a 3 WEEK waiting list! 😳😳😳

It covers a population of 8 million, (equivalent to the population of Scotland & Wales combined, or 1/7th of the population of England) It has a total of 43 staff, a majority of whom are part-time, working 6-7 hours per week!
Trans health waiting lists are a political choice
I’m just back from an awesome trans healthcare conference in Norway (blog on that to follow). Here I wanted to share information from a presentation by the founder of the transit trans health…

They both made the same pro-Russian speeches at the EU. The idea that Gill was getting paid and Farage wasn't, is just a joke, Farage does nothing for free.
It's been obvious to anyone with a brain, that he's a Putin supporter.

What we really need is an ethical media-buying & PR agency.

One that will support brands to connect with their audiences without having to rely on positioning ads in spaces that generate transphobia for profit!

Ignored by the media and attacked and disparaged by ‘gender critical’ transphobes - There were many cis women OPPOSING transphobia within the FiLiA conference this weekend.

Cis women trans allies are standing up and saying “Not in our name”!

One of Kruti Walsh’s first acts as FiLiA Head of Policy, was to publish this letter of endorsement for (anti-trans supporting) Mary-Ann Stephenson as the new Chair of the EHRC.

This appointment was opposed by both the Women & Equalities Committee AND the Human Rights Committee!

It is absolutely without doubt that one of Kruti Walsh’s key objectives as FiLiA Head of Publc Affairs is going to be carrying on her anti-trans lobbying and networking with transphobic hate groups.

She’s just using the FiLiA brand to legitimise transphobia under the banner of “feminism”.

I am Head of Public Affairs at human-right charity Sex Matters
You were a wonderful line manager to me. Made the most of our complementary but different work styles. In difficult circumstances with a pretty impossible policy objective under the constraints. You are a real loss to the civil service and I hope that is recognised.

People claiming that FiLiA is “just” a feminist organisation - It might include feminists, but it’s also run by people like this…

This is Kruti Walsh, who left her job at the Civil Service - where she founded the anti-trans ‘SEEN’ lobbying network - to join FiLiA as their Head of Public Affairs.

A belated update - in November, after 13 years in the Civil Service, I left for an incredible opportunity that I just couldn't pass up.

My time in the Civil Service has given me life-long friends, incredible training and skills and opportunities to work with brilliantly clever and dedicated people, at the heart of Government policy and decision-making.…..

- I worked in a small team, reporting to the PM, to make recommendations on the government's childcare strategy and policy, where I led on research and ensured our recommendations were based on evidence (2017)
……
- I developed the team, strategy and workplan for the Policy Profession's first Equality, Diversity and Inclusion workstream, supporting policy professionals to embed equality considerations into their policy making (2021-2022)

- I was one of the co-founders and a Steering Group member for the cross-government Sex Equality and Equity Network (SEEN), and was instrumental in establishing us as a recognised staff network and coming up with the final name that is now internationally known, and which has inspired SEENs in other professional sectors! (2022-2024)

This last one has been a personal, as well as career, highlight as I was able to contribute to upholding and supporting sex-based rights and protections in my workplace. I have met intelligent, brave and supportive colleagues and friends in SEEN, who are exemplars of the Civil Service values and show what true diversity of thought really means.

Most charities interested in supporting a particular group don’t typically prioritise shelling out over £50k on venue hire.

Unless they’re being bankrolled by someone with deep pockets.

Maybe the need to spread transphobia is a priority?
petermcgladdery.bsky.social
At 20k per day for a single room (excluding evening) up to 50k for a full hire out, I'll think they'll cope. /s

An interesting question is where the money to fund this is coming from

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

Why do you keep ignoring the many women who support trans people and protest transphobia alongside them?

Over 55,000+ women reject the transphobia spouted by many in the FiLiA Conference?

Why is everyone trying to silence and ignore their voices?
