There are some parents out here fighting for trans rights 👋🏻
I don’t actually think her proposal of putting phones in pouches while kids are at school is going to do a single thing to reduce online bullying or radicalisation - but nor will it stop trans kids finding an online community.

A lot of us have asked why she seems so unable to speak directly about the transphobic radicalization of her daughter's killers, and I think the revelation that she's friends with of the killers' mums goes a long way in explaining that.
She has a rationale for it as part of her book promo.
Bonus: she's friends with the mom of one the killers.

I feel like using your daughter's death to bang on about phone usage in schools which having jack fucking shit to say about kids being radicalized into hate, queer kids being isolated and bullied by peers, or the politicians who normalized a transphobic media climate is getting a bit vulgar.

But that is not enough. No.10 should never have been in a position to install Gibb in the first place. It shouldn't control the board membership, the DG appointment, or the purse strings. What's required is genuine independence for the BBC.

If you want to talk about BBC bias - EVIDENCE shows they were biased towards REFORM!
Claiming the BBC was ‘pro trans’ is absolute un-evidenced nonsense - based on talking to a handful of ‘gender critical’ transphobes with an agenda! 😣
BBC News has become demonstrably more trans-hostile! 😖

In contrast, Robbie Gibb “was identified by former BBC Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis in 2022 as an “active agent of the Conservative party” and also drew controversy for his role at the Reform-supporting GB News.”
It’s the wrong person who has quit the BBC!

Panorama made a stupid editing mistake. But compare this to the deliberate and systemic attempt, sustained across years, to ensure that BBC output aligns ever more closely to the demands of economic power. Against your straw of bias, I raise you a haystack.
