current giving tuesday appeal count: 56 emails from 55 orgs
by the end of today I will have heard from somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 orgs, is my guess. and I am probably an outlier because nonprofits are at the center of my work, my non-work interests, and my community life. but I know the flood is not just hitting me.

okay you know what I will yell about this. it’s 7:15am ET and I have eight Giving Tuesday emails so far, not counting the ones orgs sent on Sunday, or physical mail. orgs are fighting for scraps of attention and if they don’t their boards will get angry FOMO.
feeling my annual Giving Tuesday Nonprofit Professional Saltiness and instead of yelling about this fake problem I will instead say, if you have GT overwhelm: you will not go wrong if you pick one local org to give to, give to their general fund, and make it recurring. add more when you're ready.
