Something must be done by someone
There are violent depraved pedophiles running our government with active contempt for our laws customs and intelligence and they are about to start a military conflict in Venezuela to cover up their crimes.

people who want the Ds to lose the filibuster — myself included — probably need to look in the mirror and have some tough convos about how much we've persuaded ourselves we've won this fight vs. how much the senate's D caucus is actually persuaded
Straightforward confirmation from Angus King that the gang of eight made the deal out of earnest concern for the filibuster. www.pressherald.com/2025/11/13/w...

Nope I’m sorry. Identifying as a Democrat and being philosophically opposed to a dictatorial takeover of our government is not enough to earn the privilege of representing us in the Senate
Many feel betrayal and frustration, and the feelings are hot right now.

I get it. I have my own feelings.

okay, so, with Dems successfully keeping anyone up in 2026 for voting for this turd let's take a look at who's up in 2026 anyway:

1. Cory Booker - apparently involved behind the scenes, constantly looking for bipartisanship. I don't dislike him personally but he doesn't have what we need. Primary.

Donald Trump’s approval rating has tanked and Republican suffered heavy losses in last week’s elections. There’s never been a better time for Senate Democrats to cave on the ACA extension.

The democrats are entirely relying on people that are already going to retire in order to give up to Republicans on their behalf. Despicable

my bet right now if i were to guess is that the squishes have a tentative deal with 5-6 confirmed votes and they think they can swing the rest
this is because there isn’t a deal yet

To the point where this is still up on the air if Schumer won't give them leadership votes. It's going to be really ugly for those senators careers.
I think making the squishes walk the plank with no support from leadership would be a pretty caucus defining event. You're basically okaying primaries against anyone not retiring.

We cannot take on Trump until we have control of the Democratic Party. AOC should announce the primary tomorrow. Every single one of these people need to go, their staffers need to be fired and never rehired. Everybody in the apparatus needs to be replaced

I will be donating $1 for every like I get on this post to the primary candidates for EACH of the democratic senators who cave.

And who set that system up? Which entities created the perception that you need to spend tons of money in our society?

Who deregulated sports betting/gambling? Which entities spent millions to create systems of addictive exploitation?
So many people think it's normal to spend huge amounts of money on cars and vacations and house luxuries, and then think it's the world's fault they're broke.

Americans spent 13 BILLION dollars on sports betting last year. |(Let's not even talk about porn or lotteries.)
So many people with comfortable positions are not living the reality of everyday folks. See here:

Yes — DJT is appealing a ruling telling him to NOT starve his own people. Let that simmer.

the story of this shutdown is that Trump and the Republicans have played the politics significantly worse than Chuck Schumer and folks that's a genuine accomplishment

I think NYC has been overemphasized, NJ & VA emphasized properly, but in terms of electoral significance, the Georgia results are probably what freak out Repubs more than anything.
Tonight was a blood bath for Republicans and they should be fucking terrified of what next year looks like for them.

57% of all ad spending by Republicans in the Virginia governors race was on anti trans ads. Just an incredibly mismanaged campaign. Anti-trans politics are a losing issue.
