Something must be done by someone
Wow, I am gonna have to read Lovecraft now. Combining that kind of horror to our modern political environment just brings in how long this existential battle has gone on.

We’ve always been pushing the bounds against disorder for a long time

Is the text a quote or something you wrote?

Now we have gotten to a point in society where we (especially the rich) are on the verge of being almost entirely un constrained with reality. Thus we shed with all the pretenses that we have built up in order to handle it and begin to act 12 again.

I think a big “everyone is 12 now” is that 12 is basically the age where your biggest constraints start to not be your internal growth but reality. Everything from that point on is essentially built around coping with reality

Not even accounting for the difference in political representation between urban and other categories

An early effective strategy in combatting fascism is going against the individuals, exposing their horrific past. However, with normalization eventually someone whose character is not so easily destroyed will arise. Connections between Trump and pedo-conservativism as a whole must be made.

“What’s the point of standards?” Could not summarize the modern news media better than this quote.

Let’s be honest, she would definitely be better than Schumer, as terrible as she is

Slotkin most certainly wants the job

28% vacancy rate (if that’s even a real statistic, or remotely close to the truth) isn’t even really that bad a vacancy rate considering the rent to profit ratio of these places

This is especially what you see on a platform in which the median leftist/progressive poster age is squarely in the late teens early twenties, prime point for learning progressive vocabulary but not understanding it in context or doing self examination
November 11, 2025 at 6:34 AM
I don’t think most or any large number progressives were against it? It was a policy submitted by progressives and temporarily halted by a moderate. Additionally, a lot of conservatives (or people with unexamined conservative viewpoints LOVE to dress up their beliefs in the language of progressivism

When I get too mad about what’s going on now I like to go back and read about the Bush administration. It’s near enough that it’s familiar, but understanding it under new eyes makes it so much clearer

It was crazy to watch in Texas an actual professional (mostly)lobbying effort for hemp. There’s literally a stereotype character on Madam Secretary

*from a party incredibly prone to despotism… had too much of a THC product myself tonight
November 11, 2025 at 6:15 AM
Repeating that strategy, but in a state where regulations might change at any moment from an incredibly prone to despotism (on all levels) seems to really seem to multiply the difficulty of that pitch
November 11, 2025 at 6:14 AM
See the THC beverage thing never made sense to me? The entire thing was just a hasty consultant pivot from this fantasy that dispensaries were gonna somehow supplant the entire alcohol industry. Emulating a dominant product with your inherently different product; not a great business strategy

The democratic purge happening in ‘26 gives us an opening for real progress and fight in ‘28. This version of the party will never have that opening

And will their primary opponents be skilled enough to remind people? This is an underrated skill of Mamdani. Several people have ran and lost against deeply unpopular politicians because they weren’t able to string together their scandals into a narrative.
