Chicagoland is a friendly, safe, vibrant, & fun place. I’m very happy my kids have grown up in the Rogers Park neighborhood of the city, & in Evanston. They’re both wonderful places.

But ICE is attacking us. People are doing everything possible to protect their neighbors. But it’s hard.

You seem to be missing the decimal point between 2 and 7. The population of Chicago is 2.7 million, the metro area (which includes a little bit of NW Indiana) is 9.3 million, Illinois is 12.8 million.

Not defending any of the participants, but details matter, & if you take 3 seconds to look at the photo it’s obvious the LEO are sheriffs & state police (who are stationed outside the facility), not ICE.

I'm just going to suggest if you don't want to play into Trump's excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act, you shouldn't be encouraging protestors blocking roads.

Fair play if you think accelerating that process is advantageous, but explain your rationale & endgame.

Since 2015 there’s probably nobody who’s witnessed Trump break laws as much as Scavino has. This is mob-like; he’s the loyalty enforcer.

The protestors have been trying to block roads around the ICE facility in Broadview. If you support that as justified civil disobedience & want Pritzker to allow it, you should be honest & say you are fine with Trump using it as an excuse to use the Insurrection Act.

What’s very notable to me is that it’s against IL state law for local & state police to assist in immigration enforcement. That cop & any others involved should be fired. People in Buffalo Grove should be organizing to get that done.

The two teams that seemed the most frustrating for the Tigers were the Brewers &, in the regular season, the Mariners.

And look at the Mariners roster: They _should_ be very good. They have excellent starters, a very good bullpen w an elite closer, & a 27HR/31SB guy was 7th on the team in WAR
