And a gem of a man. Here he is with my nephew earlier this summer, at the children’s hospital in Milwaukee. Kiddo had successful heart surgery two days later and Frelick homered that night.

They idolize Suzyn Waldman. All of them do. I think for good reason. The job limits them but they're trying to bring it up in the world. There's the clear effort to say they're there for the baseball, they know the game and they can talk it with anybody. Julia Morales is a big deal in Houston.

The Phillies are retaining Thomson. I have no problem with that. It's largely due to Thomson they got as far as they did. You can question various decisions as you can anyone but he does the big, important things very well. Kevin Long might be on the hot seat, though.

It never works on a national broadcast because the players don't care. The Brewers players know Sophia Minnaert well, or Julia Morales in Houston, etc. It never breaks news, it's not supposed to, but they tell them things.

A lot of ballplayers from different teams like each other, but a lot don't, and often it's just down to the jersey. It's no different than Utley hating the Mets, Ortiz the Yankees, etc. It's not wrong to hate your enemy. You owe him respect on the field but it's good to celebrate beating him, too.

This is not even a well-kept secret. A current NYPD chief praised Mamdani’s stance on mental health without endorsement; a forner chief, now working on Long Island, did endorse him for wanting what police have always wanted - to catch crooks and let others be social workers, babysitters, etc.

Nobody wants it as a story but I have multiple NYPD sources who voted for Mamdani, are eager for his win in November, and who say their colleagues quietly feel the same.

They like that he wants NYPD to focus on crime, not quality of life enforcement.

I mean our friend here no disrespect when I say it is too soon to tell in regards to the level accomplishment. As long as Netanyahu runs things, it will always be so. But waiting at no political benefit to get a deal you could've had a year or more ago is not to be celebrated.

This is a titanic accomplishment…which should stand alone. The silence from the Left only hurts them. Kudos in private isn’t going to curry favor in this case.
