The one that really fucked me up was cashews
Cashews don't grow inside a shell like most nuts! Instead, a single cashew hangs from the bottom of a cashew apple, and the apple is edible too. The cashew attached to the apple looks like an upside down red bell pepper with a cashew shaped beak hanging off the bottom.

Look at Vin Diesel and his twin brother - genetics is a fun crapshoot!

Yes, I have no idea how common this is amongst Jewish siblings, but my friend said it was pretty common. Genetics are fun!

Starting to wonder if people skipped bio tbh
sciencehippies.bsky.social
Nah this is just when people run into basic science that we fail to teach

It's amazing that we have two topics, one being "One Piece", a manga of over >1,200 chapters, and yet that entire story is more comprehensible than the other topic, which is "Peter Thiel".

Of all the series' to do this with! Of all the series' out there!

I love One Piece but this is like looking for deeper meaning in Sponge Bob.

As a kid when it came out, it seemed to me like old timey cartoons akin to Popeye, aka cartoons with ugly art that were not the Lisa Frank level of cracked out color and stylism I was looking for.

I mean, Dick Tracey is cracked out and stylistic but just not in the way I wanted at the time.

lol he'd land in heaven and start critiquing the decor

the redheaded jew-fro is so common that we have Kyle from frickin' South Park

I had a friend who looked like the Wendy's girl and her sister looked like Rachel Weiss and they came from the same parents

They wanted Davie Bowie for that role but he died before filming, cannot imagine thinking Leto was an acceptable replacement

There's a reason nobody in actual OP fandom has heard of this until now and it's because we would've laughed his dumb shit ass out of the thread if he brought this sort of complete dipshittery to the groupchat
sciencehippies.bsky.social
I can't get over this. Berserk is right there, man. What are you, some kinda n00b? Is Berserk too classic for you? Too intimidating?? You expect me to be impressed with your OP knowings? What a dork.
sciencehippies.bsky.social
Couldn't he do this with Berserk?! Or Sponge Bob!

I am also dying!!
sciencehippies.bsky.social
Thiel being a Berserk nerd would make too much sense

this is somehow both insulting to the Bible and One Piece at the same time

Look, I've been in OP fandom for uhhh, QUITE A WHILE at this point, and this is the wildest thing I have ever seen, and this series has Funkfreed, which is a sword that ate a magical fruit and transformed into an elephant this is also a sword. How does a sword eat a fruit? And other deep questions.

hey idiot (thiel, obvs), ever heard of taoism? Cause that was what was happening with Luffy, it has nothing to do with Jesus!

I think it was the stroke + being on the receiving end of a lot of pushback for his positions on things recently, and that sent him running to the arms of the welcoming Republican party. It's like he got dumped and then love-bombed but doesn't have the mental capacity to sort things out.

I am totally okay fast-tracking this guy to Sainthood

I knew somebody with 3 families and 7 kids and he definitely died alone, lemme tell you
washingtonpost.com
More than 15 million people 55 or older don’t have a spouse or biological children; nearly 2 million have no family members at all.

Who will be there for these solo agers as their lives draw to a close? How many of them will die alone?
An age-old fear grows more common: ‘I’m going to die alone’
As families fracture, people are living longer and are more likely to find themselves without close relatives or friends at the end of their lives.
