even if this was because he was autistic it would mean that he was, inherently, not suited to his job, which is to a great degree communicating with the public

but it was not because he was autistic
“he wasn’t tripping balls, he’s just autistic” is frankly insulting spin

they are smart enough to know that even fielding this question makes them look bad so they probably have no choice but to field it
WELKER: Lawmakers say the 2 men appeared to raise their arms potentially to surrender. Why did Admiral Bradley interpret these actions as anything other than them trying to survive?

TOM COTTON: They were sitting or standing on top of a capsized boat. They weren't floating helplessly in the water

imho this image is one of the best crafted pieces of political imagery ever made. and i have thought this for years. it belongs next to Triumph of the Will in a course on the art of fascism
there is now at least one event which requires understanding where this image came from to explain

i am specifically accusing the author of lying by omission. no named source other than the sympathetically-depicted county commissioner _who was turned out of office by a recall petition specifically accusing him of being in the pocket of agribusiness and poisoning the water_ mentions Amazon at all.
You have the same information as I do. I think the context is clear and makes sense.

If you want to play a game about whether or not he specifically names Amazon when the context is about the data center excerbating eater quality problems, I cannot help you with that.

the automation of violence and surveillance and the concentration of wealth by flattening the job market all tend towards feudal systems of organization
I think there's a real chance if you can fully automate violence you basically revert to feudal social dynamics, which seems really bad

Has anyone tried asking any of the chatbots to write a War Thunder forum post arguing about inaccuracies in portrayal of any modern equipment to see if the training corpus captured anything in all the crawling that it wasn’t supposed to?🤔

Or put another way: can ChatGPT get banned from War Thunder?

minority opinion: the ocean is a lot more interesting than space is most of the time. there's a lot more you can do with it given that it's not, you know, primarily empty
marscels can get in the sea
someone said living at the bottom of earth’s ocean would be a monumentally simpler task than living on mars and i think about that a lot

normalization of deviance, but with weapons

complete failure to man/train/equip

total loss of situational awareness (I mean TOTAL)

sure the fifa peace prize is obvious, pandering corruption, but the world is so stupid that it will probably be a prestigious and venerable honor later on. 50/50 on if it's still obvious pandering corruption or not

"the government should try, convict and then kill the secretary of defense for the crime he very obviously seems to have committed" seems like a radical thing to say, but -- no, it's not. it's the actual penalty for what pete hegseth, a man who ordered death squads to murder civilians, has done.
