this is "woke," these are the "woke" people right here, everyone else was just looking to denigrate them or steal their valor

fuck off with your whole "i'm the real left, i'm too good for this woke shit" act, chickenshit parasite e-celeb grifters
iconic photo of Edward Crawford dressed in an american flag shirt and holding a bag of chips in one hand, while throwing a lit tear-gas calendar back towards the cops with the other

he's goddamn magnificent, a god of fire silhouetted against the night sky

Today in Portland, a fed shooting pepper balls from the roof of the ICE facility was so eager to aim for people’s heads, that after shooting one photographer in the head and another in the upper arm, they accidentally shot a DHS agent in the head. This photo shows the moment of impact;
Riot cops standing a street with less-lethal weapons, and one in a gas mask has a cloud of pepper dust around his helmet.

which everyone just sorta agreed was a more credible threat on account of how his kids were black, and it's just well-established that sometimes bad things happen to black kids when the cops touch them

hmm hmm

remember that time it sounded like de blasio might do some light police reform so the cops spent all their time threatening to abduct and possibly murder his kids

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.

Lmao is this supposed to be a bad thing?

Her notes for the Senate Judiciary Committee had nothing to do with leading the DOJ, or even the embattled border czar. Rather, Bondi had collected screenshots of social media posts, prewritten comebacks, and handwritten notes she hoped could give her a good “gotcha” moment.

Like you'd figure that using ai art for a 5e adventure is already a real low bar for lazyness but "yeah lets just leave the piss filter in for the picture we're using the promote the project" makes it go subterranean.
kickstarter for the great creme-atorium caper, a 5e module. Project image is of an angry gnome with crossed arms, a clean cut purplish elf with glasses and a vest reading a book, and a ninja standing in front of a building with an ice cream cone on top called "the creme-atorium"

everything is filtered piss yellow.

south korea had a failed coup attempt where the right-wing shitbag president actually sent troops to seize the legislature, and people stopped it and now there's a whole legal thing

in the u.s. the auto-coup failed much more readily and yet the supposed adults in the room decided to "move on"
saddestrobots.bsky.social
so what that looks like is you charge the president for a bunch of crimes he committed, and if the supreme court says "silly billy, the president can't commit crimes" you just kinda have to call their bluff and do it anyway

There's no "regular politics" anymore because you can no longer maintain the idea that we all agree on common goals but we only differ about the means of getting there or whatever. The guys in charge now are plainly amoral, sadistic nihilists. They delight in it! You can't civilly disagree with that

A mistake to see the Republican majorities in Congress as “abdicating.” They want the same things, the same substantive political agenda, as the executive and their acquiescence to the president’s leadership is a form of _action_, not passivity
thetnholler.bsky.social
Per WSJ, the Trump regime and Bannon are bragging they’re “ruling Congress with an iron fist” and that it is “largely ceremonial” like the Russian Duma.

Shameful. Not what the founders intended. 🇺🇸 @MarshaBlackburn @RepTimBurchett @AndyOgles

this is the list of ideological identifiers laid out in the NSPM-7 that would predict violence, and are all of course, incredibly reasonable positions or just ridiculous framing, like “extremism on gender” which is just being pro-trans:

lol liars, every one. Chicago cops threatened to quit if Brandon Johnson was elected mayor. Police union leader LITERALLY threatened "blood in the streets," saying between 800 to 1,000 would walk.

Guess what never happened.

And even if they'd made good on that threat... OK??? BYE????

Advertisers know that what your friends think is far more important to your purchasing decisions than ads are. No wonder they're trying to substitute bots for your friends

What an unsurprising decision by corporations that desperately need to make money with AI. If every other company with a chatbot isn't already doing this, then expect them to be following Meta's lead soon. The chatbot is not your friend; it's a corporate listening device. www.ft.com/content/22f7...

Meta will use conversations people have with its chatbots to personalise advertising and content across its platforms, in a sign of how tech companies plan to make money from artificial intelligence.

The owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp on Wednesday said it would use the content of chats with its Meta AI to create advertising recommendations across its suite of apps.

“People will already expect that their Meta AI interactions are being used for these personalisation purposes,” said Christy Harris, privacy and data policy manager at Meta.
