This is now my new pinned post. We all need to keep this sign fixed firmly in our minds in the days to come.
Sharing this from Lincoln County Indivisible (Maine) in case you haven’t seen Trump says he’s sending the National Guard to Chicago next. We will be on the Wiscasset Bridge 4-5pm today because EVERY DAY IS NO KINGS DAY! Hope you join Cara who wanted this shared, nobody should stand alone!

As predicted in lots of places, including this morning's "One First," the extra 48 hours that the full Court bought for itself on Tuesday (by overriding Justice Jackson and extending her "administrative stay") was enough time for Congress to moot the SNAP case:

Look, I know we’re all rightfully pissed about the current Epstein stuff, but you should really set aside some time and read this piece. There’s a reason “mitigating the effects of climate change” is one of my key policy positions.

The reason the tech billionaires and oligarchs are funding the far right and the repression it comes with is because their vison of the future includes climate catastrophe and the death and displacement of billions.
And they know they'll need protection from us.

Giving cash to food banks is the best bang for the buck; but if you/your group are stocking community "pickups" or "fridges," outdoor places where hungry people can stock up, I noticed a few things as I dropped off at one:

1. Make sure there's lighting, especially with winter's short days.

Given what they have to work with, I'm not surprised that they've come up with technology that tells me that 99% of a trillion is 99 trillion.
Well, it's a little clearer now why billionaires are so invested in technology that produces better written emails.

While there are a few lines to pursue in the email dump today, my main take is that Jeffrey Epstein was particularly repugnant and disgusting individual - but, alas, not uniquely so.

This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.

Not a bad thought at all, this.
Every other major news outlet in America should be throwing teams of their best reporters in to finding out WTF happened with Epstein & the NYT.

And remember this.

In 2015, mind you. Landon Thomas, Jr., of the NYT got this juicy morsel about Trump in 2015.

Here, via an old clip, is what the NYT devoted its investigative resources to over that timeframe instead:

pretty funny in retrospect that QAnon hinged on the idea that powerful elites at the highest levels of government were smart enough to talk in code when sending emails to each other about their despicable crimes
