Will the new movie live up to the memory of the original He-Man, a cartoon that can best be described as "occasionally animated"?

I ranked the six Best Pictures I've seen. A fine time at the movies

Watching Appointment with Death and man, Michael Winner had the ideal directing career despite being uniformly lousy at it.

This is quite funny as my general experience is that outside online spaces, people are generally positive on AI. This means they are reading all your mean posts on Bluesky!
Jensen Huang of Nvidia, $NVDA, has said relentless negativity around AI is hurting society and has done a lot of damage, per Techspot.

*scary pastor voice* All the nominees are sinners to me, out there in Hollyweird!

Out of the Best Pictures noms I've seen, the one I think is the best is Bugonia but nothing too objectable there

(probably wouldn't rush to give it to Frankenstein though...)

The Ugly Stepsister nommed!!!

I'm as anti pointless AI as anyone else but I will not stand for the comments insulting the mega pen! Have you no soul?!
yeah, just out of interest, how many people choose the pen on the right for real work or art? See a lot of them in professional workplaces, do you?

Do you think the Pluribus hivemind and the Sinners hivemind have ever... you know?

Marty Supreme (2025, Directed by Josh Safdie)
I don't think the Americans, and yes, I mean all of you, are prepared for how hated you now are by everyone.

Its not going away folks. Youve lost all rights to speak to us without being told to go fuck yourselves.
Lutnick heckled in Davos. FT: “The gathering on Tuesday night descended into uproar after combative remarks from Lutnick, the people said, with widespread jeering, some guests walking out and appeals for calm from Fink.”

I'm not going to lie, still not 100% sure what Davos is. Was this something we always did?

I have some mixed feelings about some of the films themselves but the combination of One Battle after Another, Marty Supreme and Bugonia is the first time in a while where Hollywood is reflecting the moment we are in.
January 22, 2026 at 7:40 AM
The movie itself is fine but I gotta say, the 80s music in Marty Supreme is an artistic decision I was deeply not onboard with.

Literary criticism has not fared well in the economy of clicks and amid the rise of AI. Lydia Kiesling explains how the book review became book list slop.
