HOLY SHIT. They found the genes for fibromyalgia - and it's *not* autoimmune, it's the central nervous system. It's very cool to see some progress made on the thing that's ruined my life since late teenage years!
Medical Republic: 'Fibromyalgia finally gets a genetic fingerprint'

'Additionally, certain risk loci overlapped with long covid (BPTF) and ME/CFS (OLFM4, RABGAP1L/GPR52), two poorly characterised disorders, albeit with different lead variants.'

I’ve written another romcom! It’s about two scriptwriters who can’t stop arguing but have to work together to save a TV show. Also there is kissing. I loved writing it and you can pre-order it here! linktr.ee/LoveSceneAnn...

One of the odder aspects of The Girl with the Dragon tattoo is Lisbeth Salander is what the author imagined an adult Pippi Longstocking would be like.
❛ A childhood without books – that would be no childhood. That would be like being shut out from the enchanted place where you can go and find the rarest kind of joy.

Pippi Longstocking author Astrid Lindgren, born #OTD in 1907.

There is a slightly odd Irish Christmas Hallmark movie called "Three Wise Women" which in the section set in Future Rathmines featured an AI Hologram of a fake grandchild for a lonely Fionnaula Flanagan. It knew what was coming!

My most Woke opinion is that It would be nice to get "Woke" back to its original meaning, rather than a vague progressiveness
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.
