Electric is shut off. I can’t cook, do laundry not charge my phone inside (I’ve been charging it in my car). We don’t have much food except things to make PB and Js and oranges. Can’t even use heat because it’s off so 🙃 really feel hopeless right now and embarrassed so any help would really be great

I was working two jobs prior to not working until it caught up to me and I ended up in the ER with a heart rate that wouldn't slow down until I had to take medication. I have been trying to get on disability since. A year later I started to caretake for my disabled child by myself as well. I had help previously but it wasn't working out and l've had to do a lot of it on my own, now I'm stuck in a situation where working isn't possible for my health and while I'm already caretaking for my disabled child that needs constant care. I did not ever envision this happening to me and have always worked hard to take care of my family but now I'm in what feels like an impossible situation trying my best to take care of my kids and myself so I can stay around for them as long as possible. Im not enjoying coming online asking for help but I have no where else to turn. I'm doing

But yeah what I’m saying in general is engaging with moral questions is eye opening, the whole general point of a liberal arts degree is it teaches you to ask. The emergence of a rigid answer structure in any liberal arts program would be evidence of dogma, not of a correct paradigm

So yeah I think this comes down to education does help, liberal arts more often than something like a trade school, but YMMV just as with everything else but for myself in particular I got lucky with a very broad and empathy oriented education.

Mmmm I see, and certainly this is the case, but I think it’s important to note that what I’m saying does not require consensus or objectivity in morality, there can be many different schools of thought and interaction with any of them can be helpful.
