Cold and snack cheeses are just a matter of finding what you enjoy best! Provolone and muenster are my go-tos for cold cut sandwiches. I love really sharp Vermont cheddar and pepper jack and habanero cheddar as a snack with crackers and pepperoni and salami.

Parmesan is another cheese you want quality from. The Kraft stuff is garbage, but decent grated parm is solid for a weeknight pasta dish, but I recommend buying a wedge and freshly grating your own for a dish you really want to put the time and effort into. It does make a noticeable difference!

I use mozzarella pearls in my skillet lasagna because the extra moisture has time to evaportate out as it melts over a longish simmer time (since the simmer time is to cook the pasta and thicken the sauce anyway).

I do most of my pizza cooking in a 500ºF max oven, so I go for the full fat low moisture mozz because that's the best flavor and texture from that heat on a pizza (optimal browning for the time it takes to bake the crust).

Mozzarella cheese comes in a TON of varieties, and moisture and fat content really matter for how you use them. A high-moisture buffalo mozz is AMAZING on a Roman pizza made in a 900ºF pizza oven because all the moisture is going to get taken out, but on 450ºF oven pizza? It'll be a sad soggy mess.

Pre-shredded cheeses are dusted in potato starch to prevent caking in the bag, but it makes them melt weird and they don't really play nice.

Also understand the application you're using them in! I love American and Jack cheeses on burgers and stuff because they melt really well without separating.

Kylie's kitchen tip of the day: understanding cheese!

Cheeses are one of those foods I really don't like cheaping out on. I'm not saying to get the super bougie artisanal cheeses, but at least go for a quality brand (not Kraft).
Pre-shredded cheeses are okay for a cold salad, but not something hot.

I've been saying #3 since forever...not only a place to deport them to, but it also allows them to *encourage* Jews to emigrate to Israel *and* it allows them to be blameless since "they all wanted to go to Israel!" is victimless on the surface.

And Israel is killing brown people they don't like.

I think a lot of the early prominent adult animation (Adult Swim in the 00s) was low budget and about the jokes/writing and animation/art taking a back seat, and that just kinda became the norm. Home Movies is an obvious starting point.

I think a lot of it stems from Adult Swim originals in the early 00s, where a lot of it was lower-budget shows all about the writing/humor, and quality of animation/art was secondary.

Unfortunately, that became the norm for adult animation.

South Park probably deserves some blame, too.
