Kansas just passed a monstrous bill enabling criminal penalties and vigilante lawsuits for trans people using the bathroom according to their gender identity and requires them to surrender their current drivers licenses and birth certificates if it does not match their sex assigned at birth.

It’s really difficult & disorienting but the feds hit LA extremely hard today. There were kidnappings all over & reported cluster raids in Chinatown, East LA, Ktown. This list shows to 1130 AM but they haven’t stopped all day

Just because the media attention stopped doesn’t mean the abductions have

I am introducing the Cut It Out And This Time I Really Mean It bill. It provides an additional $57 billion to the murder goons but they will agree to wear business casual Monday through Thursday and if they do any murders they have to put a dollar in this jar.

I would rather a fucking republican in her seat. At least the republican is gonna be straight up honesty fascist and not give me this shit
Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (one of 7 Democrats who just voted to fund DHS) defends her stance.

Argues funding for ICE "is not the question." Instead, Senate Democrats have leverage for various demands.

For reference, Minneapolis's "Metro Surge" was 25x larger than Chicago's Midway Blitz - ten times as many agents in a city almost a third the size.

The Springfield metro is only 136,000 people. A 1000-agent surge will be the equivalent of TWO HUNDRED MIDWAY BLITZES at once. Utter insanity.

I know all eyes are on Minneapolis, but there's a fast-approaching nightmare in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump is revoking protected status for tens of thousands of Haitians living there on Feb. 3.

Reportedly, on Feb. 4, 1000 ICE agents are arriving to remove this population. Ethnic cleansing.

I'm starting to think the Trumpist mastery of propaganda is failing them. The DHS agents posing this way makes it look like they're ashamed of themselves.

Omg! Local San Antonio news is at a protest in Dilley, Texas at the Family Prison where Liam Ramos is being held.

Y'all I'm crying so hard. These young people are so brave. I'm guessing most are from San Antonio.

Absolutely clear video proof that the cops were the only violent actors here.

An extraordinary document. Read it.

“Attached to this order is an appendix that identifies 96 court orders that ICE has violated in 74 cases. … ICE has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence.”

Page after page of DHS agents too ashamed to be pictured doing their job isn’t actually sending the power signal Pam Bondi thinks it is.
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

The immanent contradiction of dominance masculinity is that it both claims absolute authority and strength and also cannot countenance even the slightest challenge.
We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

These are amazing people. True American Heroes. All power to the people.
Bondi has now begun posting mugshots of the people in Minnesota who have been arrested.

My understanding is what Bondi is doing here is forbidden under DOJ rules.

(The faces of those who were arrested are visible in Bondi’s posts, but I’ve chosen to leave them cropped out in this screenshot.)

All of these people will be found not guilty. They know this. They are doing this to intimidate and harass people.

What’s the point of legislative reforms when (1) the administration refuses to follow the law and (2) the Supreme Court‘s obedient majority consistently prevents lower courts from enforcing the law against the administration?

Seems masturbatory.
SCHUMER says Democrats are “united” behind three DHS reforms

1/ End roving patrols; tighten the rules on warrants and require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

2/ Enforce accountability; a uniform code of conduct.

3/ Require masks off, body cameras on, agents carry ID.

Oh god it's another caput lupinum. Let me just add that this *is* a legal problem. "This interpretation creates a class of outlaws who are beneath the protection of the laws" is a legal objection to an argument that sounds in basic jurisprudential principles about what well-organized law doesn't do
Oh there’s another problem that I’ll mention at the risk of dismissal on the ground that it’s not a “legal” problem. It’s that he intimates that, on his theory, unlawful entrants have no right to sue in U.S. courts.

This is not the law. It has never been the law. And yeah, it‘s also wildly unjust.
