The biggest issue is that this is simply an ongoing siege. Not a lot has changed on the ground, so the media just kind of moves on to the next thing. There’s more feature stories about various aspects of this resistance and local media has been great, but new news keeps happening elsewhere.

i lost track of the amount of white men i saw wearing shorts yesterday downtown. first in the skyways where maybe it made sense. but then wandering the streets too. it was only like 22 degrees and windy
you should always be suspect of people who announce they’re going to do something instead of just doing it and launching their finished product. “i’m starting a podcast or whatever project!” and then more than a year later, 9 times out of 10 there’s nothing to show for it

Yesterday morning, in the lobby of the Hennepin County Government Center, two members of our community were arrested by ICE agents as HSCO deputies looked on. These kidnappings are horrible and cannot continue on our watch.
