I think Fitzgerald sort of intend to write about his time, or at least dine out on it in a “Tales of the Jazz Age” kinda way- an Electric Kool-aid / Cyberpunk / “look at how wild and different contemporary world is now!” reflection of that moment. Gatsby seems to partake in this, at least a bit.

“Good at guest starring with the Muppets” and “good at a cameo with the Muppets” are very different skill sets, and folks who are good with one are probably bad with the other.

Also Muppet variety acts are a whole different thing.

I didn't take pics but the feeling of being in a group of people with no visible beginning or end was so thrilling. The opposite of online anomie, and a living counterpoint to the wary, isolated, compartmentalized world the shitheads want to make. It's simple and obvious I guess but it means a lot.

I grew up on the east coast, and my first years in California I was Superhuman: I was never cold or hot as my friends and co-worker complained, I woke up early, I was cheerful (and slightly sick to my stomach for some reason) for a whole year. Now I am back and last winter completely kicked my ass.

I moved from California to Pennsylvania a few years ago but I still react to seasonal change like I grew up on Venus. Turning leaves! Apple cider! Dogs wearing sweaters! It’s all brand new to me, still.

Can’t post about how much I like the Ghostbusters soundtrack around Halloween because ICE dragged that woman off in chains for playing the theme song on the clarinet, and it would be insensitive.

Day 287: This movie continues to absolutely rip for me
