games are central to the media consumption of many people who have come up in the world with zero cultural or media literacy. that's part of why so many are eager to watch, like children, as the corporate political order redraws the lines around basic standards for free expression and thought.
Games are constantly under attack for doing things other mediums have tackled for decades as if it's some new taboo.
