Ok so it has been explained to me that libraries are forced to buy more copies after a certain number of readers show interest in a book but they cost a lot and libraries of course are short on funds.

First my meds now this, these folks want me to nosedive onto concrete so bad. 🥴

Ever since Covid when everyone was reading at home, libraries have spent more on ebooks than they do physical and publishers basically extort them to renew them yearly/get more than a few copies. It's sick!

And also love my librarians so much but I wish they wouldn’t suggest this when we try to request a book. I shouldn’t have to collect library cards like infinity stones when I can just wait a few days for it to ship from the next library over. Physical books are never backed up like this
