Since Trump's administration really seems to be trying to push the idea that antifa is an org, not simply being anti-fascist, I have a suggestion:

Switch out your black bloc's uniform for GOLD. Have members all dress in matching metallic gold outfits, same type they otherwise would be, just gold.

Multiple foreign-born spouses of U.S. citizens appeared for their final green card interviews at the local office of USCIS. In several cases, shortly before their interviews concluded, ICE agents entered, handcuffed them and placed them under arrest

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

Even former Bush admin DOJ officials, the department that invented "enhanced interrogation" as a euphemism to rubberstamp torture of POWs, are openly stating that Hegseth violated the law.
Professor Jack Goldsmith, head of George W. Bush Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel (OLC):

"I do not believe that even the Bondi OLC could legally justify the events the Post reported."

"There can be no conceivable legal justification for what the Washington Post reported."

FWIW I didn’t leave Substack because of the Nazis, though they didn’t help. I left because the management of that company is fundamentally duplicitous, it’s become a toxic social network, and there is no reason to give them 10% of your profits when there are better and less expensive options.
not doing this to start beef but I mean come on - I spent much of my tough first years as a freelancer trying hard not to write for publications that felt too objectionable, I lost a noticeable amount of my income when I left Twitter - journalists do have rent to pay! everywhere sucks these days!

As always, I recommend people be skeptical of influencer marketing like this. Don't let people leverage parasocial relationships, trust, and political identity to sell you things that ultimately aren't in your best interest. And question the integrity of those those who do.

Mostly, I'm bummed to see what I feel is a money grab. Why doesn't the product page say these are made in Hong Kong? Why does Roger claim this is not "off the rack?" These are made on block patterns and offered in standard sizes. They are functionally the same as OTR clothes.

And what would happen if you received a garment that fit like Roger's model below (pics 1 and 2)? Collar gap, lapel buckling, jacket is too short, hip pockets flaring out, and pleats pulling open? Compare those images to pics 3 and 4, which show proper tailoring.

Most importantly, I'm disappointed in the return policy. A $1,540 suit is nothing to sneeze at. And yet, there's very little service attached — they don't ship sample suits for you to try on or allow you to return things for a refund if they don't work out.

Those are made at the Rochester Tailored Clothing factory in Rochester, NY (formerly known as the Hickey Freeman factory before they offshored production). This is a unionized workforce with immigrants from around the world, some of whom have been with the factory for 50+ years.

I'm also surprised that Roger went with a Hong Kong factory (I called the factory today to confirm). If MAGA is about making America great again through reindustrialization, why not use a US factory? Over at O'Connell's, you can find MiUSA tailoring for half of Roger's prices

I'm also disappointed that Roger decided to go with working buttonholes at the cuff. There's functionally no good reason to do this. Punched buttonholes limit how much a sleeve can be altered, which is why everyone from Joe Biden to Ted Cruz walks around in overly long sleeves

I’m still very curious to see how well liberal Zionism holds up against footage of mass graves. My guess is: badly.
My interview with Sarah Hurwitz:

Me: “so, Sarah, what are you…”

Sarah: “my kids say I have blood on my hands”

Me: “…watching on…”

Sarah: “they see all these videos of bloodshed and murder and civilians rioting at the closure of a rape prison and think I’m the bad guy?!”

Me: “… on Netflix….”

All I'm going to say about this one is I think her in-laws must really love her if they're biting their tongues when she brings this to Thanksgiving.

Not enough to pretend to eat it. But enough that she feels comfortable and accepted enough to bring it.

I like going to the arboretum because there is a garden section where it's just winding paths through various plantings, with chairs and benches everywhere. Right now, while I'm struggling with the effects of my knee injury, I can go walk around, knowing I can sit anytime and even prop up my leg.

Amidst all the post on my feed about pensioners living in £2m+ houses complaining about a property tax of 0.125% (about 1/10 of US or Canadian typical property taxes), there is this - an actual case of an overbearing state.

The federal government is making open threats of genocidal violence now from its social media platforms.

This is a literal turner diary or siege level Neo Nazi call to action and is an attempt to foment violence against anyone who is not white, male and Christian.
