You may have to wait a while for an answer as Sally Jenkins is still trying to unravel the mystery of “what were Charlie Kirk’s views?”
sallyjenx.bsky.social
One of the reasons I'm not familiar with his views is that I find they've been inaccurately or incompletely reported. When I do listen to him in full, he speaks with civility, and his full context has usually been lost. This disappoints me in my profession. That is what I'm saying.
ziajd.bsky.social
You admitted you're not familiar with his views but are saying he argued with civility. Which one is it, Sally?

Cuz it sounds to me like you're defending him, and that's pretty disgusting and embarrassing.

It’s not a badge of honor to celebrate the ascendancy of someone who refuses to correct factual errors in pieces purporting to be journalism, and a hagiographic article which fails to mention that reality. But you know that, you just know the faux-martyr routine pays better than actual competence.

Did not know this about Old Bay
The origins of the company can be traced back to Wertheim, Germany, where Brunn started a wholesale spice and seasoning business selling to food industries, seeing an opportunity as spices were in especially short supply amidst hyperinflation in the aftermath of World War I. 9] Due to rising antisemitism as the Nazi Party rose to power, the company moved to Frankfurt, Germany; 1°1 however, on the night of November 9, 1938, a massive pogrom against Jews, known as Kristallnacht, led to Brunn being arrested by Nazi soldiers and sent to Buchenwald concentration camp. "
According to Brunn's son, Gustav's wife paid a large sum of money to a lawyer for him to be released; as they had already applied for and received American visas, they were able to escape with their two children to New York City and later Baltimore, Maryland, where Brunn had family.!'! There, having brought with him only a small spice grinder, 8! Brunn founded the Baltimore Spice Company and produced the
"Delicious Brand Shrimp and Crab Seasoning", which was later renamed Old Bay. 12[13]

Hi Sally. When Weiss published a supposed expose on the death of George Floyd, a veteran criminal justice reporter showed in deep detail that the piece was not just wrong but filled with falsehoods and misrepresentations. Weiss did not retract the piece. What do you think of that?
sallyjenx.bsky.social
This is really smart. Amazed at the hysteria over the ascendance of a woman entrepreneur who clearly knows how to cover and sell news and who's not afraid to take on a mob. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Describe the opposite of The Free Press in a sentence
Screenshot of text:

It’s a business story. [Highlighting begins] Everyone in journalism has known for years that there’s been a huge opportunity for a publication that employs the traditional methods of U.S. journalism—reporting, deep sourcing, fact-checking, fearlessness—to subjects that either don’t get covered enough or get covered only from a certain perspective. [Highlighting ends] If creating such an enterprise seems simple

About the Dodgers, I recall Brooklynites' raw emotions when Walter O'Malley moved the team to LA in the late '50s.
Question back then: What do you do if you're in a room with Hitler, Stalin & O'Malley, and you have a gun but only 2 bullets.
Answer: You shoot O'Malley twice.

The texts from a Democrat who had served in the Virginia House were explosive. In one exchange, he suggested that the chamber's Republican speaker deserved to be killed, mentioning the legislative leader alongside Hitler and Pol Pot.
Now, the Democrat, Jay Jones, is his party's candidate in next month's election for state attorney general, and the recent revelation of his three-year-old messages have sparked a fierce outery from Republicans and rattled the Democratic ticket in a state where the

Picture how big the Hoover Dam is. An absolute unit. The Hoover Dam has a power capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW).

The solar farm that the Admin just cancelled could have produces 6.2 GW of power. That's more than 3 Hoover Dams.

We never incited violence, we just called this guy a member of antifa who funded terrorism and told our followers to pay him a visit ha ha and then a totally unrelated group of people threatened to murder him in front of his students ha ha
"The petition to disband our Turning Point chapter is blatantly defamatory," Ava Kwan, outreach coordinator for the Turning Point USA chapter at Rutgers, told Fox News Digital in a statement.
"The accusations of 'inciting violence' and 'making threats' are complete lies," Kwan said. "The same people claiming we're suppressing their free speech are actively trying to silence us for speaking the truth. It's not just ironic, it's hypocritical and absurd."

Nothing remotely resembling an insurrection is happening anywhere in the country. Any violence associated with protest has been isolated, mild, and, in nearly every case, instigated by federal law enforcement. If we let Trump get away with calling dissent an insurrection, our republic is over.
