So, since my follower count here doubled this week, hi!

I’m a self pub transfic author who writes trans fantasy stories, available on itch, Amazon and Scribblehub.

I’m also a postdoc in media psych with a casual interest in transfeminism and trans studies, so I may post thoughts sometimes.
I mean, there’s stuff I have heard is good…

I think we need to be meaner to conservatives assholes who create propaganda in billionaire owned media for fascists
It’s time to put Billie Eilish’s theory of property out to pasture, Richard Epstein and Max Raskin write.

Editing the response letter and the deeper in I go, the more the one appendix keeps changing letters....

"Appendix G" became Appendix J by the time we were doing the initial summary and now it's K and it's only in the middle. Why do we have 70 pages of these. Please send help....

Jan-Feb is a good time to be a fan of sicko lesbian books. Also we all chose covers with a lot of red and black elements for some reason. @taliabhatt.itch.io @mzakharuk.bsky.social @tinylesbianrobot.itch.io

Which, then, I'd feel guilty for not writing. Because I love writing and people inexplicably like my writing and I didn't want to disappoint them, and then the stress of it built up, which, well, slowed down the writing...

Writing daily has done tremendously for breaking those patterns.

I used to have points where I'd get a little blocked or tired and then I wouldn't write for 2-3 days, and then I would just kind of... forget to go back. And then going longer without doing it makes it take more and more executive function/energy to restart, so 2-3 days would spiral into 1-2 weeks.

Definitely some days hit barely 100 words; and I've definitely ended up ditching more text in its entirety. But overall very helpful to have a constant little mental push to go put something on paper.

Haven't missed a day, incidentally.
I think my goal is to write (fiction) every day for the rest of the year

I just do a lot better about things when I have a habit, and it's incredibly good for my mental health

Some of those days will be like 200 words or whatever, and I'll probably trash half of what I put on paper, but that's ok

Celebrating my coauthor's second release of a transfeminist book, which of course is just the phrase "Girls rule boys drool (but they're trans)" repeated a bunch, as all transfeminist writings are. I'd be so owned if a contrarian went and bought Brown/Trans/Les specifically to prove me wrong on this
