I get why, but a lot of these QTs are misreading this as a "problem" with 'Gen Z' when the actual substantive point being made here is, if anything, much closer to an indictment of the specific protests (and more yet) the broader environment.

While it's common in the Anglosphere to have 'shared world' settings, they're done on a work-for-hire basis; Games Workshop owns the copyright to ALL WH40K novels regardless of the author, Disney owns all copyright to all Star Wars novels. With GO, we want to take a different approach.

Millions of authors, any of whom may have lost tenure, been passed over by a hiring committee or otherwise suffered professionally because a major player in a field with 30-40% profit margins couldn’t even make its API work right for over a decade.
