And practice will get you to the little discussed but clutch advanced skill of being able to identify when stopping is no longer an option. Shake off that panic and witch from brakes to gas, then choose your least bad direction. Gas is a control switch, to some degree.
Do you hate driving in snow? Have a new driver who needs to learn? Take advantage of today’s snow!

Go find an unplowed empty parking lot (schools, business parks, offices, etc) and PRACTICE!

Starts, stops, slamming on the brakes, turns without fishtailing. Get comfortable in snow!

My original plan in life was to become a politician because I had a short list of changes I wanted to see. A sunset bill with extremely strict licensing on breed-able dogs/cats was one of them. A reset. Followed by some loosening. Breeders kill puppies. Sorry @johnmoe.bsky.social for focusing on the
Here’s what else to know about Meg:

Last summer, there was an auction at a corgi breeder. No one bid on the littlest puppy so she was scheduled to be euthanized.

Meg’s family adopted her and named her Lulu.

Lulu, shown with Meg’s husband Pete, just graduated level one obedience!

There's a persistent reflex to assume that projects like this are liberally coded, only popular in progressive enclaves. But the actual evidence goes the other way. Liberals aren't the only ones who like to cross the street safely. Conservatives also ride bikes and like to do so without dying.

I wonder if SPPD’s successful closure rate will leave with Mayor Carter. They’re choosing this for themselves. If they become ineffective, it will be because of choices like the one they made today. Choosing to isolate themselves through violence and abuse of power. Progress be damned.

Spent all day being so mad I forgot to take my blood pressure meds. A dangerous mix. Remember to take your meds and drink water and cuddle your pets! My dog gets anxious when I’m upset ☹️

How do we effectuate consequences for this? I want to understand where the power is held here.

1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

Three fun facts about my dog
1. He’s chill, but if you start dancing he comes running to join in
2. He’s so independent we pass each other on the stairs. I give him a nod like he’s a coworker
3. When I bike he nips at my legs like I’m a cow
He’s a rescue and we always give back on GTtM day ♥️
